2025 Top 100 MLB Players: #30 - #26
30. Rafael Devers, Boston Red Sox
Rafael Devers continues to be one of the most fearsome hitters in the American League. The three-time All-Star (2021, 2022, 2024) and two-time Silver Slugger Award winner (2021, 2023) has established himself as a cornerstone of the Red Sox lineup since making his MLB debut in 2017.
Devers, who won a World Series with Boston in 2018, has accumulated over 200 home runs and 650 RBIs in his career while maintaining a batting average of .278. Known for his exceptional power from the left side of the plate, Devers has recorded multiple 30+ home run seasons and was particularly impressive in 2024 when he became the first player in Red Sox history to hit home runs in six consecutive games.
After the Red Sox signed Alex Bregman prior to the 2025 season, Devers moved from his traditional third base position to primarily serve as the team's designated hitter. While initially reluctant about the position change, Devers has embraced his new role, focusing his contributions on what he does best - hitting the ball with authority.
29. Corey Seager, Texas Rangers
Corey Seager has solidified his status as one of baseball's elite shortstops during his career, now in his fourth season with the Texas Rangers. The five-time All-Star (2016, 2017, 2022-2024) and three-time Silver Slugger (2016, 2017, 2023) continues to be among the game's most complete offensive shortstops.
Seager's resume includes two World Series championships (2020 with the Dodgers, 2023 with the Rangers) and the rare distinction of being named World Series MVP twice with different teams. He became the only player in history to win World Series MVP in both leagues.
Known for his smooth left-handed swing and exceptional power for a shortstop, Seager has maintained a career batting average of .291 with over 200 home runs. His consistent production earned him a massive 10-year, $325 million contract with the Rangers before the 2022 season. Despite battling a sports hernia that ended his 2024 season prematurely, Seager reached a significant milestone last year when he hit his 200th career home run, becoming the first purely left-handed-hitting shortstop in MLB history to reach this milestone.
28. Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves
Austin Riley has developed into one of the National League's premier third basemen and a key piece of the Braves' core. A two-time All-Star (2022, 2023) and two-time Silver Slugger Award winner (2021, 2023), Riley combines impressive power with developing all-around offensive skills.
Since being drafted 41st overall by the Braves in 2015, Riley has steadily improved his game. He was a crucial part of Atlanta's 2021 World Series championship team and has established himself as a middle-of-the-order threat in the Braves lineup.
Riley's breakout 2021 season saw him hit .303 with 33 home runs and 107 RBIs, joining Eddie Mathews and Chipper Jones as the only Atlanta third basemen to hit .300 with 30+ homers and 100+ RBIs in a season at age 24 or younger. This performance helped him secure a 10-year, $212 million contract extension with the Braves in 2022, the largest in team history at the time.
While injuries limited Riley in 2024, including an intercostal strain and a season-ending hand fracture, his powerful bat and improving defense at third base make him one of the game's most valuable infielders when healthy.
27. Michael Harris II, Atlanta Braves
Michael Harris II has quickly established himself as one of baseball's most exciting young outfielders since his MLB debut in 2022. The Atlanta native and 2022 National League Rookie of the Year has become a fan favorite for his hometown Braves with his dynamic combination of power, speed, and defense.
Drafted in the third round of the 2019 MLB Draft, Harris rapidly progressed through the Braves' minor league system before making an immediate impact upon reaching the majors. His rookie campaign was so impressive that the Braves signed him to an eight-year, $72 million extension after just three months in the big leagues.
Harris continued to develop in 2023, hitting .293 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, and 20 stolen bases across 138 games. Though a hamstring injury sidelined him for a significant portion of the 2024 season, Harris showed his resilience and power upon return, memorably hitting a grand slam in his first game back from the injured list.
With his elite center field defense, developing power, and baserunning prowess, Harris represents the future of the Braves outfield and continues to improve all aspects of his game at just 24 years old.
26. Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies
Kyle Schwarber has transformed from a promising young slugger with the Chicago Cubs to one of baseball's most feared power hitters with the Philadelphia Phillies. The two-time All-Star (2021, 2022) and 2022 Silver Slugger Award winner brings exceptional power from the left side of the plate and has become one of the game's premier leadoff hitters despite his unconventional profile for that spot.
Schwarber led the National League in home runs during his debut season with the Phillies in 2022 with 46, then followed it with 47 more in 2023. His 2024 season featured two remarkable three-homer games, including a 5-for-6 performance against the Blue Jays that included a go-ahead three-run shot in the 9th inning. In September 2024, he broke Alfonso Soriano's single-season record by hitting his 14th leadoff home run.
While his batting average typically hovers around the .230 mark (or sometimes below), Schwarber compensates with exceptional power, a high walk rate, and the ability to work deep counts. He's also proven to be a postseason performer, holding the record for most National League Championship Series home runs with 11.
Beyond his on-field contributions, Schwarber has endeared himself to Phillies fans with his leadership and clutch hitting. He famously introduced "Dancing on My Own" as the team's victory anthem during their 2022 World Series run, creating a lasting tradition in Philadelphia.
