NBA Power Rankings: Week 20 Top 15 Teams (2025-26)
15. Philadelphia 76ers (34-29)
The 76ers currently rank 8th in the Eastern Conference. This past week was challenging, featuring mixed outcomes. Tyrese Maxey scored an impressive 25 points to lead the team to a 106-102 victory over Utah, despite trailing entering the fourth quarter. Jabari Walker achieved a double-double in that win. 14. Miami Heat (36-29)

Orlando then overwhelmed Milwaukee 130-91, showcasing balanced scoring and tough defense. Jalen Suggs particularly excelled on the defensive end during that blowout victory. With three straight wins, the Magic are on a roll.
12. Toronto Raptors (36-27)
Toronto ranks 5th in the Eastern Conference and is discovering their rhythm. RJ Barrett had an explosive performance with 31 points, while Scottie Barnes added 17 in a 122-92 demolition of Dallas on Sunday, marking their second consecutive victory. Earlier in the week, the Raptors lost to Minnesota 115-107, where Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves. Toronto aims to generate momentum as they approach the playoffs.
11. Phoenix Suns (37-27)
The Suns currently occupy the 7th position in the Western Conference. They secured a win against Charlotte, finishing 111-99 on Sunday night. Los Angeles then confidently defeated the Knicks, 110-97, on Sunday, showcasing their strong team play. Although the Lakers are winning games, they must maintain their consistency. When they prioritize solid defense, they're challenging to overcome.
8. Denver Nuggets (39-25)
Denver now holds the 6th spot in the Western Conference but has been facing difficulties recently. The Knicks overwhelmed them 142-103 on Friday, with OG Anunoby scoring 34 points in that loss. Prior to this, Nikola Jokic achieved a triple-double with 28 points to secure a win against the Lakers, 120-113. Jamal Murray also added 28 points in that victory. Denver needs to improve both their defense and consistency to succeed.
7. Houston Rockets (39-24)
Houston ranks 4th in the Western Conference. The Rockets suffered a significant loss to San Antonio, 145-120, on Sunday. However, they managed to outplay Portland, winning 106-99 on Friday for their fourth consecutive victory. Alperen Sengun scored 28 points, while Amen Thompson contributed 26 in that triumph. Their defense is performing at an elite level right now.
3. Detroit Pistons (45-18)
Detroit is currently at the top of the Eastern Conference! The Pistons have faced three consecutive losses this week. Miami outplayed them, winning 121-110, despite strong performances from Cade Cunningham. Additionally, Brooklyn narrowly defeated them 107-105 in a tight clash on Saturday, where Michael Porter Jr. and Ziaire Williams made crucial plays. Despite these challenges, Detroit remains a leading team.
2. San Antonio Spurs (47-17)
San Antonio sits at number 2 in the Western Conference and is gaining momentum. They overwhelmed Houston, winning 145-120 on Sunday, with Victor Wembanyama and De'Aaron Fox leading the charge. The Spurs also defeated the Clippers, 116-112, showcasing Wembanyama's all-around dominance. San Antonio is learning how to finish games effectively and is gradually building the confidence needed for a championship run.
1. Oklahoma City Thunder (50-15)
The defending champions currently hold the top position in the Western Conference! Oklahoma City triumphed over Golden State, winning 104-97 on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 27 points in that victory. Earlier, the Thunder managed to defeat the Knicks, 103-100, in a thrilling contest between contenders. Chet Holmgren scored 28 points, while Gilgeous-Alexander added 26. OKC is building toward their championship form at just the right moment!
